FAQ
Which platforms are supported?
Bilibili, Douyin, Vimeo and Pinterest are supported today; more platforms will be added over time.
Why can I only see lower qualities?
On Bilibili, high qualities such as 1080P usually require a signed-in platform account, so VidGet can only return qualities available through anonymous parsing.
Why does opening a direct link fail with 403/412?
Platform CDN links (especially Bilibili) are anti-hotlink protected: they need a correct Referer and often expire within minutes. Open the link in a download tool that lets you set Referer to the source site, or parse again for a fresh link.
What do the separate "video stream" and "audio stream" links mean?
High qualities on Bilibili use DASH, where video and audio are delivered as two separate streams. Both links must be downloaded and merged locally (e.g. with ffmpeg) to get a file with sound.
Do you store files on the server?
No. VidGet only returns the direct media URLs and never downloads or stores video content on our servers.
Is downloading videos legal?
Please only download content you own or have permission to download, and follow each platform's terms of service and copyright law. The tool is provided for personal learning purposes.
